Hello Friends,
I got some good news and I got some bad news....while in the studio recently, Gerard started having some problems with his voice. At first we weren't too concerned about it and thought it would pass, as these things usually do, but the longer it went on the more worried we all got so he went to see the doctor. The good news is he's getting the best treatment possible and is going to make a full recovery, trust me we couldn't be more relieved. The bad news is it's not gonna go away overnight and we have to do what we hate doing most, cancel shows.
When we started this band all we ever wanted to do was write songs that meant something to us and play them live for as many people as we possibly could, and now in our old age all we want is exactly the same thing... and thats why canceling shows kills us so much, playing for people is what we live for. Your off-time applause, your beautiful dirty faces, your raw energy, and your wretched little voices singing our lyrics back to us fuel our fire, you make us feel alive, and we love every single one of you for that.
So know that as excited as you guys were to see us, we were even more excited to see you. But in order to make sure that we can continue to create music and play it live for all of you for a long time to come we need to give G the time he needs to heal.
We are incredibly sorry for bumming anyone out by canceling, and we hope you find it in your hearts to understand. We promise we will be back in Australia to make it up to you guys/gals as soon as possible. We miss you.

Tengo unas cuantas buena noticias y tambien tengo malas... mientras en el estudio recientemente, Gerard empezo a tener problemas con su voz. Primero no nos preocupamos por ello y pensamos que se le iva a pasar, como siempre, pero tardo mucho y cada vez estaba peor asi que fue a ver al doctor. Las buenas noticias es que el esta recibiendo el mejor tratamiento posible para que se recupere por completo, confien en mi nunca estariamos mas aliviados. Las malas noticias es que no saldremos de noches y tendremos que hacer lo que mas odiamos, cancelar shows. Cuando empezamos esta banda, todos lo unico que queriamos hacer era escribir canciones que significaran algo para nosotors y tocarlas en vivo para tantas personas que se pudieran, y ahora estan mas mayores queremos exactamente lo mismo... y es por eso que cancelar shows nos mata, tocar para la gente es lo que nos hace vivir. Sus aplausos, sus hermozas caras sucias, su energia, y sus pequeñas voces cantando nuestra canciones es como gasolina para nuestro fuego, ustedes nos hacen sentir vivos, y amamos a cada uno de ustedes por eso.
Asi que asi como ustedes se emocionan por vernos, nosotros estamos todavia mas emocionados por verlos a ustedes. Pero para poder estar seguros de que podemos continuar creando musica y tocandola en vivo poara todos ustedes por un buen tiempo necesitamos darle a G el tiempo que necesite.
Lo lamentamos demasiado por cancelar, y esperamos que encuentren en sus corazones para entendernos. Prometemos que estaremos de regreso en Australia para hacerlo con ustedes chicos/chicas tan pronto como podamos. Los extrañamos.
